2010 Advisory Board

The In My Shoes Advisory Board was created in January of 2007 to ensure the voices of our constituents remained a constant factor in the decisions made by the Board of Directors and staff. The Advisory Board's goals are to obtain 8 youth, 8 alumni, and 8 allies on the board at all times. It is important to the Advisory Board that each constituency group has an equal representation at the table so that all voices and perspectives are heard and considered.

In My Shoes strives to host all of our events in collaboration with members from each constituency group. The In My Shoes Advisory Board has continuously stepped up to the challenge and has served on every event committee since its conception. The Advisory Board has assisted in the creation and decisions for most of the programs and events In My Shoes has to offer. In My Shoes is grateful to have such wonderful and dedicated members on our Advisory Board.

Our Commitment

The In My Shoes Advisory Board is committed to helping the Board of Directors, staff, and members ensure the mission, vision, values, and goals of the organization are met.
The Advisory Board meets on the second Tuesday of every month from 5:30 - 7:00PM.

Want to Apply to Be an Advisory Board Member?

The In My Shoes Advisory Board is currently looking to fill seats for all three of its membership categories; youth, alumni, and allies. All individuals are encouraged to apply. The Advisory Board will give special consideration to youth and allies with experience in public speaking and fundraising. Please fill out a volunteer interest form.
